When my dad passed a few years back, I was tasked with the job of selling the excess of his firearms purchases for my mom. She told me to keep what I wanted, and sell the rest. One such gun sold was a near mint, Colt MKIII .38special mid range like the one pictured. The exception being, mine was much cleaner. Since I don't reload, it was not one I wanted to keep. I sold it to a guy who knew what it was and what he was after. Got around $1200 for it if I remember right. That's California price. I just wish I was around when he picked it up. In California, you have to do a safety handling demo which includes the use of a snap cap or dummy round. Since you don't see these that often, I would love to have seen the gun store guy trying to figure out what to use.
