Here is a quick AAR with the new G43X.

Took the pistol out yesterday to test and evaluate the performance of the pistol with my intended carry cartridge as well as some ball ammo. I ran roughly 150 rounds of 124gr WWB FMJ with no malfunctions whatsoever. So, I loaded up the mags with 124gr Federal HST that I currently run in all my edc and sd firearms. 100rds fires with no problems. The gun ran flawlessly as expected. I would of liked to run 100rds more of the hollow points but, it was hot and I had a problem with the front sight. I noticed about half way through the testing that my front sight came extremely loose and I had to remove it. This was user error as I forgot to put lock-tite on the screw when I installed it (dumbass). This was taken care of as soon as I got home. I did get to forcefully practice point shooting so, that was ok with me.

The handling of this pistol is great compared to any other Glock I have fired. This is due to the fact that it’s a single stack and the grip is thinner both on the width and front to back sides. Although, it’s a little snappy with 124gr pills.....it’s still very controllable and gets back on target fairly effortless. I will say I had to failures with the slide locking back on the last round fired. This was caused by my strong side thumb resting on the slide lock. The slide lock is fairly minimal and low profile but, it is still easy to accidentally stop it from locking back if you rest your thumb on it while shooting. Once I adjusted my thumb position I had no more slide lock errors.

The Shield Arms (15 round) mags performed flawlessly. These things are the bees knees! A bit speedy at $40 a piece but, worth it for the ability to carry 15+1 in a single stack carry pistol. Two thumbs up on these.

Didn’t take any pics this time as I was focusing on the functionality of the pistol and mags.

Sounds like a good day indeed, good to hear that the mags did their job without issue as well.
Thanks for the RR bud !

Good day! Glad to hear it!
The issue with the grip affecting the slide lock happened to me when I changed my grip as well. With a little adjustment, losing up the support thumb and making sure it’s not pressed against the slide lock has worked. The adjustment wasn’t a difficult learning curve and it didn’t take long to become second nature.

Thank you gents.

Once I adjusted where my thumb sits, it locked every time. Not a biggie.

Been carrying it the past few days. So far so good, I don’t feel a difference in size from my Walther PPS M2. Except, sukka has 16 hp bad boys sitting in wait.
