Default Reveille Patriotic American Veteran Tribute.

I saw this earlier today on Facebook. I had hard time finishing watching it as the screen kept getting blurry.

I stand for the flag, I kneel for the fallen!

The sooner you fall behind, the more time you'll have to catch up.

Thanks for reposting, I saw that a while back and it sure stuck with me.

My uniform is in the closet and I see it every day. I'm proud to say I can still fit in ..... the steel pot (helmet) anyway.

As we age, it seems the reverence with which we hold our service years increases significantly.

Mother and Dad had an honor guard at their funerals, the last act of patriotism as memorial to their service. Little brother never served (bad eyes), he passed away 4 years back. I remember at Mom's funeral couple years before he died , I had the honor guard present the flag to him and I can still see him, one tear falling, not exactly knowing what to do next but duly honored.

Thanks for rekindling the memories.
