Great looking pistol. I'm a 38 Super fan too.

Love it! Nighthawks are real beauties,

I too like the Super round am in in the process of fitting a new slide and bull barrel for my DW Guardian 9mm so I can swap out to 38 Super.

Excellent choice in pistols!

Mike, are you doing the slide/barrel fitting yourself? Or having it done?

Nice, That is exactly what I did, except, I kept the slide since a 38Super is a 9mm on Steroids
I just added a barrel, lug and bushing, Had my GS do a little fitting and flush cut and target crown the barrel.

It swaps out in 2 minutes and I am ready to carry.

By the way, my Lady rides in a Gray Elephant OWB with matching Twin mag holders. It rides on a matching Belt.
When I carry IWB it rides in a Very nice skin holster.

My Elephant setup with my 9mm Fusion INSIDE:

MY IWB:Shark Skin

This is my story and I am sticking to it

Default The gun behind

I know this is not a Nighthawk, but I assume that some will ask what gun is behind the Holsters. In anticipation of the question, I submit:
The gun behind the holsters, is a custom Fusion commander slide on an officer lower.

It is 9mm running an 11# recoil spring. it now looks like:

Myself ... I love to tinker and if I take my time things usually work out pretty good. If I rush ... different story!!!

Fitting a steel slide to an already fit up alloy frame is a challenge. I can't just lap the two pieces together (the alloy frame is anodized and fit to the DW slide so I don't want to screw that up). So ... I am using a sacrificial stainless frame (I happen to have one hanging around) to fit and lap. It is almost there. I have the barrel fit to the slide and now just have to mill the slide to accept the reverse plug. It's been fun!

It sounds like a great project. What Barrel are you using in 38Super?
Can you post images when you are finished?
Good Luck!

Can any 9mm 1911 be converted to .38 super? How about a Guardian ?
