Ah yes, a feeder...what better way than to shoot a deer than by entrapment.

At least in California, when we hunt deer, we actually have to work for the kill....meaning go hiking and LOOK for the animal. Not set a "bait trap", sit back and wait.

BINGO!!! We have a winner.

I agree , no way to hunt deer or any animal for that matter.

In Texas they use feeders extensively. Being from Colorado I never really understood why, until I figured it out one day.

In the West there is public land a plenty a guy simply needs to pull a tag for a particular area and then hunt that assigned area.

But in Texas there is a lack of public property almost none really. So if you want deer on your land or the hunting lease that you have purchased you have to entice the deer to stay on your land and not the neighbor's. Thus the use of feeders.

Hunting from a helicopter works better.

I prefer to lay wait in the tree, then jump on the Deer and wrestle them into submission. More "sporting" that way. LOL

Yeah so what's your point? I have gun magazines from 2008 that my wife keeps trying to throw out too. I can't remember what I read last week, so old news is new news to me!!!! Ya gotta love it!

They just keep re-introducing the same guns over and over.
