Default Trigger Pretravel

So, I posted a video of the results of me removing the pre-Travel from my RIA pro mat Tac ultra, and WOW, did I get a ton of crap from people saying it wasn't safe. I even checked for trigger bounce by dropping the slide on a empty chamber, and did all of the other function checks. I mean holy crap, what is the deal?

I'm sure someone will explain. I was taught to re-set to the trigger catch point when firing multiple rounds, so the travel isn't much of an issue.

Some pre-travel is necessary for a reliable reset when things get warmed up and/or a bit dirty.

I prefer and little pre travel before hitting the "wall". But that's just my preference. I don't see it as an issue if you did it correctly.

I wouldn't have an issue with it if done right...I agree.

But I too like the little "give" in the trigger.

My only advice would be if you let someone else fire your weapon warn them there is a trigger with no pre-travel. That might surprise a guy.
