Default Republic Forge?

They seem to be a small manufacture in North Texas, and by north I mean nearly Oklahoma. Just came across them due to another forum I am on. Does anyone have any feedback on them? A custom 1911 in about 8-10 weeks is a fairly nice temptation.

Stuff looks like its well finished. Logo doesn't do it for me though just something about it. Maybe if the words weren't there but just their logo? Looks solid but at almost 3k I would go brown or nighthawk

An Ed Brown is on my list, but I had never heard of these. At this price point I figured some on here would have experience with them. I wil see how much the guy on the other board likes his once he gets some range time with it.

Just sayin...

A gun is a tool, no better or no worse than any other tool: an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

And shepherds we shall be, for Thee, my Lord, for Thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.
In nomine Patris, et Filii, et Spiritus Sancti.

Personally would stick with a better known brand Wilson Nighthawk or Guncrafter..
