Default Walther PPS M2

I was in need of a new carry pistol since my lady has stolen my current (Smith Shield 9) one for herself (thanks BeerHunter!). So, I’ve been looking around for something similar to the Shield (since it’s the best carry pistol ever, lol....). I narrowed it down to this bad boy...Walther PPS M2! Same size, same ammo capacity, same great ergos. I have put 100rds down the pipe without any hiccups, straight out of the factory box with no initial cleaning/lubing. I’ll have to say this thing shoots like a dream for what it is, small and light carry pistol. Obviously, 100rds of WWB 115gr fmj is not a good test of reliability. So, it’ll get ran hard with different ammo and a good dose of HPs. If it has no failures, it’ll be my new carry pistol. Here are a couple of pics next to the Shield.

PS: At first I thought it held one less round than the Shield but, there are 8rd mags available for it. That makes it even.

Power hath descended forth from Thy hand, that our feet may swiftly carry out Thy command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee, and teeming with souls shall it ever be.

have both for pocket carry(*Long story). I love them a lot but favor the PPS due to the grips and trigger ...which seem a bit better than the shield imho. both serve me well and are good range toys as well

I agree and this coming from a M&P aficionado. The Walthers ergos are so much better and the gun just shoots lights out. Don’t get me wrong, I still like the Sheild. Both are good CCP choices.

I have lost count of how many rounds I’ve shot through it but, it has not had any failures. I installed the Mag Guts +1 spring kits in all of the magazines and it’s been feeding as normal. So far so good on that “upgrade”. Now I can carry 9+1, 8+1, or 7+1. I tend to run the 9+1 in the gun and carry a spare 9+1 on my person.

Loving this gun so far.
