Default Hi From SE Virginia

Hi,

I'm a retired military guy (1992) and carried a 1911 for many years, before the day of the M9, which I never carried. I'm now a senior computer/network/software technologist which I've been doing since I was on terminal leave.

I'm a relatively avid shooter of pistols, long guns and shotguns. I'm not a collector; all of my weapons are shooters and have a self defense purpose.

I reload for most all my weapons (.22 excepted), but still need to buy the dies for my new Citadel Officer's Model 1911. I've got about 500 rounds through it now with one FTF in the first mag, and no problems since. It's very tight feeling and accurate.

I found this forum from the big forum, and thought it might be nice to be a part of a smaller, more friendly group.

I'm looking forward to some comradeship and to learning more about a weapon that I knew well in the old days and will be carrying in the future.

Cheers,
Pitlog
