How can...?

In my recent quest to build a night varmint gun, and keep the cost reasonable, I started searching the corners of my various hiding places for a candidate. Just last night I find one...a savage mark ii that the SGM got for me. But why wasn't it in use. Oh,yeah, I spent two boxes of 22lr and could sight it in. Chalk it up to who knows what!

So I decide to look it over again..bought at a local chain sports store. They mounted the bases, rings, and scope. Went to range, couldn't find the broad side of a barn. So I stuff it in the corner and forget about it. Looking it over, rings and mounts loose but that could be me.. I ponder this for most of the morning..so I'm sitting there looking at this Gun and and huh, that's strange. The scope logo is on the BOTTOM. OH frickinh me. The guy mounted it 90 degrees out.

So I took apart, and back together. Off to the range tomorrow.

Lesson learned, oh and where's my sign?

I paid to have one scope mounted. One. Never again. The scope was canted, loose and off. It was a reputable LGS.

Good find ColMike. Hope sighting in is painless this time around.

What sign are you referring to?

Good job col. Sometimes you just gotta do that, throw it in the corner and let it fester...:D

And the sign said "If you want it done right..."

Time and again it's a proven fact...
