Thinking of getting a couple of these for my buddy Ellison. What do you all think?

Now... this would be funny.... but only to those who know of Ellison's prowess in reloading techniques. But on another note here:

Why pay this much for a piece of brass with delrin at the end? Seriously.... wouldn't a 1/4" or 3/8" wooden dowel do the same thing without any damage to the bore?

Just thinking.... and just asking is all......

In the words of Pete Puma...."You better give me 3000 or 4000...." Why do you think all my Shooting Buddies call the Squib King

The wooden ones could wear out with extensive use.

And we all know, they would get extensive use if they were my buddy Ellison's

Sometimes.... old posts just need to be bumped...

There's a story here that needs to be explained in detail to those who were not members at the time, and that it somehow ties into the latest reloading press thread that’s being discussed as well.

Sometimes old goats need to be bumped..... down a flight of stairs :D

I know why you bumped this thread. To make a point regarding progressive vs single stage. My mistakes were human error, not mechanical. Had I been on a Dillon 650 with a low powder warning sensor, the squibs wouldn't have happened and we wouldn't be here today rehashing this story.

Love ya man

Nope... I was actually looking for any thread that said "Squib Boy"... and this was the first that turned up. Now, for anyone who wants to know the WHOLE story...... start reading the archives. It's actually some very very funny stuff!!

When Ellison was new, he was called "Pino".... which he still gets called by on occasion.... Then, one day... He made the mortal error of telling us that he had a couple of Squib rounds. Hence... "Squib boy" which morphed into "Squib King"... Eventually... he was drawing monkeys on packages that he shipped out to us, packages that quite frankly... given his sense of humor...some of us were frightened to open without plunging them into a bucket of water first. Hence ... Ellison became "the Monkey". In his present iteration... it is now "Mischiveous Monkey". But he'll always be "Ellison" . The ribbing is going to happen, but it is almost always good natured. And that's what Cotep is!

Love ya too!

OK, between the SK himself and DF the SK history is all coming together for those who weren't here at the time, plus, Phil got straightened out on the current gas pricing. :D
