Heh guys. Could use some help determining if these are good (AND REAL) deals. How do you keep from getting burned? Would have shipped FFL to FFL.
Thanks!
Jim

Oh I love the VBob....... I would be ok with a gunbroker transaction but I dunno about a transaction over armslist and having something mailed.

There is a Guardian for sale. It's here by KC.

The price is right for the Vbob. There's a Cbob in 10mm on Seattleguns.net for $1500.

The Vbob said Trijicon sights but I thought they only came with Heinie Straight Eights?

The Heinie sights have Trijicon inserts. Even though the rear sight has "HEINIE" engraved in it, the white Trijicon markings stand out more.

Please be careful with ArmsList. I was advertising a high end 1911 a while back on GB and got an email from someone who saw the same gun on ArmsList. I did not post it. Someone used my pics and created an ad as a scam. I notified the site and the person posting but it was never removed. I don't think they have the level of scam protection GB has so please play it safe. BTW ... that seller was listed as from North Carolina.

I wouldn't deal with anyone off ArmsList unless you can meet them and inspect the gun.. Dealers and sellers on the other auction sites have buyer ratings etc.
and are safe.. Some have been ripped off on Arnslist..

You're looking at the right guns..

I have an 09 CBOB and have no desire for a better gun ever.. If I had it to do over today I'd get the bobbed alloy frame .45.

I bought a stainless Valor on ARMSLIST. Got the gun but not in condition advertised. Felt ripped off. I thought it was just the seller but maybe it's symptomatic of the Forum. I'm going to steer clear. Thank you all for your input.

So, stepping up to a DW. Good move! If you want a square deal check this out.

I bought my Guardian from Jason good guy and quick shipping, and you won't beat these prices for new.

The price is right, BUT, I would never do an Armslist deal unless it was Face To Face at a very safe location.

Check with these guys, you may be able to score a new VBOB at an very good price. http://www.osagecountyguns.com/ Call them, and ask about the DWs. I know they do NOT list them on their webstore, but AFAIK they carry them. I have dealt with them, they are 100%, and do FFL transfers.

Just opened my mail and received a "Scam notice" on the Vbob. This is not the first time as I've gotten similar notices on other guns before. Probably throwing the baby out with the bath water but I'd recommend we all avoid ARMSLIST.

Avoid Arms List unless you can meet and see what you're buying..

The Vbob ad has been pulled from Armslist as a SCAM.
