I'll try to attach a couple pictures of two projects. One, the grips, were done a couple of years ago in one weekend. The other is under current engagement, and has about 50+ hours in it.

The M1A National Match I've had since the 90's, and my ex-Army son said I should customize it. So...here is the mostly complete work. Finishing the mirror image on the reverse side, then six coats of hand buffed oil finish goes on the walnut.

I almost went blind on the M1A checkering.

I thought I would update the thumbnails with the finished product. Total time was around 80 hours or so. 10 coats of hand rubbed oil finish added to the time, but the checkering took most of the labor and concentration.
