26 April 2019 Another Norn Levine stag handled fixed blade knife. Absolutely stunning. http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...s/levine_2.jpg I think overall this knife is just under 2” long overall! |

Bowie Nearing completion on the big Bowie I'm making. All that is left is to send it off for heat treating and then pin the handle and polish. Blade: D2 heat treated to 59 Rockwell (hopefully) and then cryo treated to convert any remaining austenite to martensite. Handle: Golden Ebony. Twice as hard as red oak, sinks in water. I will probably put a sealer on it to prevent darkening with age, but it requires no finish and can be polished to a mirror finish with fine crocus cloth. Sheath: 5/32" thick tooling leather, finished to match the ebony. Here is what it looks like. It will be shinier after completion. https://i.imgur.com/3aGJy33.jpg https://i.imgur.com/njYG6o5.jpg http://www.cotep.org/forum/picture.p...&pictureid=888 |
