http://www.tbbf.org/ The Battle Buddy Foundation (TBBF) "Our mission is to ensure that Veterans and their families receive programs and services that will help them acclimate back to family and civilian life. We will accomplish this by: Providing highly trained psychiatric and mobility service dogs to veterans of all eras suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress, Traumatic Brain Injury, and physical limitations at no cost. Connecting Veterans to employment opportunities within our network of Veteran-focused organizations. Building a community of peer support for Veterans and their families through programs, events, and social media. The Battle Buddy Foundation was founded by Veterans to serve Veterans. All our efforts are aimed at effecting long term and positive change in the lives of combat veterans and their families." http://www.pawsandstripes.org/ "Paws and Stripes is a nonprofit organization providing service dogs for wounded military veterans with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury through integrating service dog training and education with mental health support. We help veterans so they can live the full and rich lives they deserve. Our dogs come only from local rescues. Our service dog trainers teach the dogs and the veterans as a team. These dogs are not pets, they are service dogs with the complete protection and rights granted by the American with Disabilities Act. Our program is funded through generous grants and donations from people like you. Our veterans are never obligated to pay a penny of the program's costs to enroll." |
Initially wanted to donate to WWP a few years ago but then after looking at the percentage of the money actually making to the wounded warriors, realized there are other charities like those mentioned by MPDC66 and pitor that have much lower overheads make my donation more mission effective. :)

Fisher House, Gary Sinese and some of the newer Veteran run charities are much better choice than WW.

Thanks for the info guys. I really respect Mr. Sinese. His foundation will receive my monthly donations formerly misused by the WW scammers.
