What we are running on right now is older Dell in my house. It's a P4 2.4Ghz with 512 Ram. It's only used as a file and web server. The base OS is XP Pro and the Web server runs in a VMware virtual machine that is Windows Server 2003. I got Cable internet. Speakeasy tells me download is about 5 Mbps and upload is about 0.5 Mbps.

Performance seems pretty good to me - on par with the other forums I haunt on occasion.
