Dad Vented. He feels better - for now. Daughter is PO'd beyond description and will remain so for years over this incident. I see a long history of lack of serious communication between them and escalating hurtful events toward each other for several years to come. There is pent up anger over other things we do not know, and that anger has found a release that is not going to be a solution. Both father and daughter are acting the same way. He needs to be the adult; not the child. I feel sorry for this family.

I agree with you, I thought it was Funny, but you are right about the long term effects of this and they probably will not be pleasant. Also I see a new laptop in the home in about a month. Steven

+10 more! "Tough Love"! This country needs more parents to practice it!
Seriously! If I said ANY of those things to my Mother, God Help Me!
She was a small woman, but She told me more than once, "I Brought you into this world, I can take you out!" scold She was Tough!
I thank God that She was!
The World is a Tough Place, today's kid's need to learn THAT from their parents! The Father basically paid for Her Laptop, and even worked on it for Her, and She disrespects Her Parents on the World Wide Web!
I agree with what He did!

Agreed, my dad would have knocked me into the next county if I said any of that but we also have to understand that kids can get into more trouble now than they could in our day and also that the laptop is pretty much a required item in most high schools today. So unless he wants her to flunk out he will get a new laptop. Also remember that he has not cut her off from FB, just from doing it from her laptop, her friends all have laptops and she will fire the next volley in the war from a distance which he can not control! Steven

True! But I'm betting She'll think about saying things like She did on Facebook from now on!

And the father's actions may come back to bite him after this has gone viral. It does NOTHING to promote a positive image for gun owners. He needs to grow up and may have to deal with the consequences of his own actions. I wish this dysfunctional family all the best.
