Little hard to see in the pictures, but I am guessing that it either did not stay in the bluing tank long enough, or they did not give it enough time for the bluing to 'cure'.
It sounds dumb, but all else being equal, a blued finish that sits unmolested for 24+ hours is far more durable than one that didn't I would also check the slide lock and anywhere else where there is wear for rough spots or a burr. If you want it reblued, I'd be happy to rust blue it for you. |
