I'd just like to clarify that I was a "Mimber Lover" for a couple months before being promoted. All you fancy-pants newbies really missed out on a good time with your instant membership status! :D

PS, in case anyone tries to get offended ... that was a tongue in cheek comment. You know, like "back in my day" ie, January '14 funny

In 66 when I entered the Corps, some of the really "OLD salts" still had the herringbone style utilities (fatigues to Army types). Technically they were "retired" but they didn't give true "Old Corps" types grief, just "boots" who somehow acquired a set to look "Salty". :D

Thanks, I did a quick search before revealing my ignorance and found military uniforms too but didn't understand the context. Still so much to learn in life!
