Dave

Yeah - this one is about 1/2" wider through the belt slot area. I also added 1/4" to the belt tunnel. I'm pretty happy with it so far - the hardest part is getting the stitching nice and tight to the slide. This one is pretty good.

Freshly dyed

OK - we are getting close. I've got the holster and matching belt (Dave has volunteered to be a victim...er, tester for my belts..) stitched and dyed.

Here's what they look like now:

And from the back. It's still a bit wet, but hopefully, he won't mind that I put my "mark" on it. :D

Tomorrow night, we'll get the holster wet molded.

See? What'd I say Lane! Looks great, can't wait to see it molded. As for your mark, I'd expect nothing less. I'll be showing it to all my shooting friends.

It's pretty cool to see the process, thanks for posting all the pics. I have to imagine you have one seriously heavy duty sewing machine to go through that leather.

I use a Tippmann Boss - technically referred to as a stitcher. It's totally manual - one pull of the lever creates one stitch. It'll stitch through about an inch of leather without much effort. I'm totally ready for the slot machines...
