Nice! Should be a lot of fun.

Seems like a shooter.
First ten rounds. http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/...psnqvypkwc.jpg After getting used to the gun. http://i1078.photobucket.com/albums/...pse5q7ckfe.jpg One round got wedged as I got to the end. I had to take the lever out. Some rounds didn't feed cleanly but this was the only one that got stuck. It's a heavy gun but the recoil with the 357 is almost as light as my AR-15 so it's easy to shoot. The sights are the old fashioned open sights which is what I was taught with so picking that up was easy. I did find that the front sight has to be further down in the sight picture than the rifle I learned on. But now that I have the sight picture down, it shouldn't be a problem in the future. Fun gun to shoot. |
Excellent shooting, great groups.
Maybe it needs break-in? |
That's what I figured. When the round got stuck I was at 40 rounds and only had 50 rounds with me. I'm going to get a few hundred rounds and see what it's like after that. Considering I just bought mostly for fun, I'm not too worried. I was hoping Gary or the Colonel might have suggestions of reliable ammo since they have the SASS connections.

Ms like that forum is down but I saved the link. I was thinking a 686 maybe but it will be a long while before I'll dive into this pool. Edit: It's back up. Security Six. I'll keep that on the radar. |
It's certainly accurate enough in your hands. Very good shooting

Nice shooter, Congrats! Do us a favor and DO NOT POLISH the gun..It will pick up a look all of its own. Now down to loading.... You can shoot 38's and if you send me a PM, I will send you back some loading data for the gun..... If you are going to shoot 357's, I can help you with that also. We load 39 once a week for Cowboy shooting (light loads) What kind of press are you considering? you will need to get brass, primers, powder and bullets depending on what you want to shoot. As far as a 357/38 Revolver, I can help you with that also depending on what you want to spend and if you want SA or DA, but I think that that rifle needs SA Let me know GaryR |
