Somewhere I’ve seen a picture of one of the shelves with three 50 cal ammo cans full of ammo, so the shelves can definitely hold the weight.

Well, have you had a chance to mess around in the 'gun closet' any more?

Everytime I see these pics it makes me want to re-do my gun room. This is such a great system!

I got the main rifle shelf installed. Because of the narrow width of the closet, I can’t put two side by side like I planned. They have a four column shelf, but even that is too wide. I ordered a few single rifle bases so I’ll have some flexibility.

I like the way the pistols turned out but I need more. Since I have more space on the right side of the closet, I ordered right handed posts.

The panel on the right .... do you have the space to move it towards the door opening the distance of the stock shelf depth, in other words, so that 2 stock shelf corners touch at the bottom corners, that way you can utilize the entire right panel for some additional long guns, etc. if needed.

Yes. I might end up doing that. Also on the left, I purposefully left space to add two large panels if I need them later.

I can see that's one of the BIG advantages to this system, being able to customize it to fit your individual needs. :cool:

Looking good! Moving that panel to the left would definitely give you more hanging space.
