Best 1911 video I've ever seen

I can't remember if this has been posted or not, but even if it has, it's worth watching again.

Watching the actions in super slow motion is just awesome.

I call it "gun porn" at it's best. I had to go fondle mine, 1911's that is, after watching evilnanner

Great video! Dirty ammo, tho.

I'm guessing they were running low pressure loads because of the compromised slide. If you notice, the empties are barely ejecting.

Low pressure loads usually burn very dirty.

no doubt they were powder puff loads. For the camera it made it pretty cool though.

Being my mind is simple I'm wondering if the genius who designed this gun had had access to super slow mo color video like this if it would have inspired any changes? My guess though is his mind was so elevated he probably saw this in his head and needed that to make it work anyway.

I remember sweeping up a pretty good size pile of unburnt powder daily off the floor of the indoor ranges I worked at. It was really quite eye opening to see how much actually built up. A decent days worth of shooting on ten lanes would net like a coffee mug full of it. Full power, target, sub sonics or even the clean Fire ammo they all threw some out.
