This one here is a real bug-hole gun.

I'm sure I missed it if youve talked about it before...what's the specs on this?

Hail Caesar 08-28-2011 07:06 PM

It's a .22 LR with 28 inch (real damn) heavy barrel.
It weighs about 15 pounds with the scope, so it ain't exactly a squirrel rifle.
Got a 2 ounce trigger (I believe).

It was made in the 60's.

It doesn't have a mark on it. The funny glare coming off the barrel is heavy oil to protect it. It is as pretty as the day it was made. I shoot it a lot, but somehow I have not muffed it up yet.

It's got a 8x32 Bushnell 4200 on it.

Nice. I have an old Marlin but its missing parts and looks like it's been beat to hell twice.

I have one of those too. It's got a red dot sight and a piece of Pic rail screwed to the forearm for a TRL-1. I call her "Possum Gun".

that's a nice rifle Alan. how does it group em?

Hail Caesar 08-28-2011 08:12 PM

You have to move out to 50 so you don't shoot through the same hole all day.

Once you get the tensioners set right, it shoots .2's till the cows come home.

Jeez..that scope looks long enough to be one of the old Unertel scopes used on our rifles in the Corps before we went to the Redfield 3x9. Nice looking rig.

Thank you. It is a long and big scope. Sometimes people don't realize how big that rifle is because the scope is so big.
