|
My newest Is a Commander sized Hi-Cap RIA Multi caliber (9mm/22TCM) That I wrote a TE and Review of last year for an e-zine article on another 1911 forum.
After living with it for a few months, I decided to purchase it, rather than send it back. https://imgur.com/gallery/kPF8Cua |

Something a little different - A Springfield Armory Inc, imported CZ made M-6 Survival Rifle. This one is chambered in .22 Hornet and .410 Gauge. It is a commercial copy of the "original" Post-WWII USAF Aircrew Survivor Gun. The top of the Buttstock lifts up to allow stowage of 4 additional .410 rounds and 9 .22 Hornet rounds. In a survival situation it would definitely be better then nothing!
By comparison, in WWII the German Luftwaffe provided their Aircrew with a Drilling, a three barreled Rifle/Shotgun, in a fitted case, with a batch of accessories. If you could find one to buy it would set you back about $12,600 (last one sold at a Rock Island Auction! http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...galil/M6_L.jpghttp://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...l/M6_Scout.jpg http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...galil/M6_1.jpg http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...galil/M6_2.jpg J. P. Sauer M30 Drilling - 2 12 Gage barrels, one 9.3x74R mm barrel... http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-GOnUcRMnqC...l5zo1_1280.jpg and yes - I would love to have one! |
^^^^That is cool^^^^^

Something a little different:
Winchester 1897, made in 1940; Ohio National Guard owned 20" Barrel Riot Shotgun. On loan to the Ohio State Penal System this shotgun was declared as "Excess Military Equipment" and sold in 1976. I traded a Springfield M1A for it - methinks I got the better deal! https://d26horl2n8pviu.cloudfront.ne...jpg?1497242645 http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al..._receipt_1.jpg |
^^ I'd bet that one may have some stories to tell.
|
Wow, just wow...... that is a badass scatter gun.

Achtung, Achtung - I bought this Mauser HsC from a woman who I was helping to find prices on her husband's (deceased) gun collection.
From my research (and help from the Mauser Forum) I've learned its an early version, issued to the German Police. There is a "dirty bird" by the trigger guard; instead of the swastika it has the letter "L" http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...-M39/HSc_1.jpg |
Cool beans. ^^^^^^^

Something a little bit different!
The Sheridan Knocabout! Sheridan has been around for a long time; their stock in trade has been air guns. The Knocabout was their foray into the inexpensive .22 Rimfire Market with the stamped sheet metal framed gun. It is single shot; meant to be carried in a tackle box or backpack; to be there if one needs a little pistol to dispatch a snake or other "critter." http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...sheridan_1.jpg |
I really like that. Reminds me of the Taurus PT22. I think these kinds of guns are neat even if they aren't a game changer.

Smith and Wesson Model 469 chambered in 9MM Parabellum, aka 9MM Luger.
Essentially it is a chopped Model 59 shorter with a slightly less magazine capacity. http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...odel_469_1.jpg It's a shooter as well! http://iwantthatknife.com/Gallery/al...469_target.jpg |
That’s a cool pistol, nice shooting too!

Once upon a time I had 4 Garands; now I'm down to these to; the "full-sized" M1 is a Springfield Arsenal gun that in the 1960s went to the Red River (TX) Arsenal for an overhaul. The other gun was purchased as a "less wood" gun, a Danish Military return, from the CMP Store at Camp Perry. I sent it to Tim Shufflin for refinishing and assembling as a "Tanker" Garand. It is still chambered in .30 US Ball Ammo - aka .30-06.

So I have a Browning 1900; one of John Moses Browning's "hell of a pistol" The first photo is my gun; the slightly 'decorated' knife is Browning's Model 1899; found in the Museo des Armas in Buenos Aires. The museum of arms has an amazing collection of Argentine Weapons and foreign guns - as used by Argentina.
