How many water ballons to stop a .44 Mag? You'll be surprised!
|
That surprised me.

But what load......I don't think that was a 320/grain

still impressive though. |
they said 350 grain I think I heard but I would like to see them do that with a different caliber, like the 9mm or the 38...I think the size is just to big to displace the water.
Neat vid but not enough in one shoot to amaze me... |

Used a hp that rapidly expanded giving more resistance and slowing it further. From 1100 to zero in not much time. That's why hp's stay in the body for the most part.
Thanks for the link, it was interesting to watch |
Well, I'll be damned! Makes perfect sense, though. The running in a pool example was excellent.

At the 2:31 mark he holds the slug in his palm...looks like a peeled back hollow point to me. Let's see a cast 320 grain hit the balloons. I have 250grain cast +P Buffalo Bore rounds for a Champion 1911 I carry up in SC. I need to make a video with them next week. Any suggestions? Don't get crazy, these bullets ain't cheap!

I thought I heard 250 grain. This reminds me of the girl shooting through peeps. The balloons and the peeps act like ballistic gel and if you think of the penetration results in that then 4 balloons was my guess as well. Now I wonder how different it would have been if the balloons were touching. The initial shock hitting the ballon may burst the second or third before the bullet penetrates thus creating less resistance as the bullet travels. So touching I would say 5-6 balloons.
