Live in Montgomery, Texas (birthplace of the Lone Star Flag) transplant from Chicago by way of St. Louis (next stop Costa Rica?). Bird hunter most of my life, but can't do it anymore so decided to try these things called handguns. Darned if they don't get to you. Started with Glocks (I know, I know). Got a Sig P938 for carry after trying a friend's. Somehow found the 1911Forum and really got hooked on the 1911. Added a Kimber Custom II after using another friend's. Then one fine day (my wife might dispute it was a fine day) I found the Dan Wesson forum with a level of participation and candid information you don't see many places. Well, read that for about a month and now my Valor (Duty Treat) arrives tomorrow, the Glocks are gone and here I am with my first post to COTEP. Looking forward to the breaking in of the Valor, and know breaking in the shooter will take longer. Thanks to all of you for all the on-point information and, when I get a bit more under my belt, I plan to be a net contributor.
