Hello from Connecticut
 

From my username you will know that my name is Steve, and I'm joining from CT. I own only one DW 1911, a pre-CZ PM-1S, and it was my second (and now only) 1911. I am primarily a revolver shooter, although I have owned a fair number of auto's over the years, and I have a really great AR built for me by my son.

My PM-1S is remarkably accurate, frankly it has spoiled me for almost any other centerfire auto. When I bought it used several years ago, I had no idea that it was sort of "special", I really thought is was a garden variety Pointman. Shortly thereafter, in one of the dumbest moves of my life, I waited just one day too long on a CBOB for $750-STUPID.

As I said, I am primarily a revolver shooter (Dan Wesson revolvers,of course), and a Moderator on the Dan Wesson Forum. We have a small, but growing 1911 group there, and I look forward to inviting some of them to join the Congregation.

Thank you all for the warm welcome, COTEP feels a lot like my Home Forum. I'm not the most technically gifted 1911 guy, but I like to learn. I'll be doing lot's of looking around and asking some stupid questions, I hope you don't mind.

I haven't done much with my PM-1S other than cleaning. I'd like to do (or have done) some work to clean up some intermittent FTF issues, and it does not play well with magazines other than the one DW original that came with it.
