Thanks so much all! It wasn't as bad as originally thought. I'm back home now, and "resting comfortably," as they say. I'm "well medicated," so I won't be traveling anywhere for the next day or two.

I have a chronic G.I. condition that manifests itself in some bouts of abdominal pain. Normally, it resolves itself in a matter of a few hours. This time, it didn't, and it was more intense than ever felt before, along with some nausea and "dry heaves." When it hadn't cleared within 24 hours after onset (didn't get any sleep last night), I knew I had to get checked out.

Thankfully, it doesn't appear to involve the appendix (wrong side) nor any "stones" or anything like that. The medical folks seem to think that it was just a more severe instance of my original condition. There's nothing that can be done for it except pain management and ensuring I don't eat things that can trigger it. Although I can't figure out what I've eaten recently that might have done so. If the problem still persists after this weekend, I have an order for an "ultrasound" at the ready.

I'm truly sorry I'll miss Okeechobee, tomorrow & Sunday and miss the class. But I'm sure we'll figure out something else.

And I thank all of you for your prayers and concerns. :salute:

Keep an eye on that stuff, My wife is dealing with abdominal issues as well. A coworker almost lost his brother to that stuff.... we aren't young anymore.

Try and stay away from nuts, seeds and uncooked veggies. That could help as well.

Absolutely. I'm extremely careful. And it isn't things like hot peppers, so much (I can eat Thai all the time), but it's just different specific ingredients prepared certain ways. But it isn't always food that triggers it. It's other things as well.

Glad to hear it wasn't anything too serious. Get better. Good luck with the dietary management.

Thoughts for him and his family, what happened to him?

ETA: read the whole thread, glad to hear Arnold is doing better.

Sorry you're going to miss Brownie's training but you need to take care of yourself and rest, without health we have nothing.

Well, it's Will Farugia's training I'm missing. It was an FOF class being held at the same facility. The second time it was missed. :(

But I'm doing better this morning. A few "rumblings" along the same portion of intestine that was painful initially, but I think that's just some left over "soreness." We'll see how things go. I think if it were anything truly serious, I'd still be in a ton of pain.

Thanks all, for your thoughts and prayers. :salute:
