Greetings from Route 66
 

Happy New Year!! I was invited to join this group back in 2013. I guess this makes me a Slow Starter. My first Dan Wesson was my trusty S/S VBOB .45. Still have it, and it makes my other 1911s jealous because I carried that more than any of them since purchased. The VBOB now grumbles with them in the safe because I have been carrying my new (as of 10/2016) alloy frame Guardian when I carry a belt gun.

Been carrying 1911s (unless prevented by Agency regs.) since 1965, when I bought my first pistol - a Colt Commander .45 at Knight's Gunshop in FtW, TX. I guess I have been an off-the-books member of COTEP since then.
