So this thing is great. Used it to load up a few glock mags and its really great. Once I figured it out and got the rhythm down loading was super fast. This was a great purchase for sure. Wish I would have gotten one a long time ago. I posted pics of it all around to see if I have a legit version being there is some knock offs out there. It works, no doubt. Won't go without one ever again I bet!

I don't use a loader on 45ACP. I guess it's because they're so fat and smooth and fun to use.

But for 9mm and rifle calibers they rock!!!

I bought one of those for the wife nine years ago; she never got it!

The details don't look like any of the pictures MagLula Ltd. published as to the counterfeit versions. Also, the SKU barcode label on the packaging doesn't say "Made in China."

Phil - See if your UpLula has specific Patent numbers on it. The US Pat. # should be found on the top, underneath the tab with the lock symbol, as per this picture (these pictures are of my Uplula):

There may also be pat nos. for US, Canada and Israel (home country) on the back, per this picture:

Hate to say it Phil, you got a fake one.

Key features:

1) Upula's have 4 patents, not "patents pending" like yours.

2) Calibers are marked for each one, your's has no markings.

3) real Upulas's have a channel for the spring, your's does not.

4) Lock button should be grey, not black.

Yeah, I am not even going to dink with it. It works just fine and for the discount I supposedly got I am ok with it. If it breaks I will go to my LGS and get the $35 version but until then I am good.

I did "demand" my money from the seller for the knock off and see if I get anything from it. Doubt it...

Hells Bells, I got a refund today. Opened a case against them and said I want a refund plus shipping back to them for the fake loader. They refunded me the original price and said don't bother sending it back. SCORE...I will use it until it fails and then but a real one. Happy Happy Happy.

Crap, I'm realizing the one I got years ago is a fake based on your pics and descriptions. Oh well, it's been flawless but hate to see that my money went to some asian counterfeiter of goods.

Without the pics on here I would not have known the difference either, it works great. Just not real. I got money back I didn't think would happen so I will use it until it dies but it looks solid.

Yeah mine has been flawless too, I mean it's a real lo-tech kinda gadget, I just hate the fact I was sold fake. Wish Maglula would sue the crap out of all these aholes selling fakes

I wouldn't worry about the "efficacy" of the product. The greatest point of failure would be the "tang" that pushes down all the rounds in the mag so that you can insert the next round. I think the product will work just fine.

I don't think the issue is the quality of the counterfeit product. I think it's the fact that the product/patent owners aren't getting paid for it. :eek:
