Back in 1956, together with Mr Ollech, Mr Albert Wajs founded Ollech & Wajs. Concentrating on manufacturing rugged and good looking sports watches at affordable prices, they were soon able to expand their markets. Business then was done entirely through mail order.

In the 1960s, Ollech & Wajs watches became very popular among US soldiers who bought them privately, as they were very well made and of high reliability not mentioning the affordable prices. Reaching a peak sales period during the Vietnam war era.

In the early 1980s, due to the quartz revolution, most mechanical watch manufacturers were forced to close down.
Ollech & Wajs was no exception. But since the early 1990s, mechanical watches were once again highly sought due to their reliability and character.

Today, Ollech & Wajs resumed production under a new name, A.I. Wajs. Formed by original creator Albert Wajs himself. Manufacturing even more watches with new designs and innovation.

Gnomon Watches is an Authorised Dealer for Ollech & Wajs watches.
