It's cold!
 

Hi guys, woke up to 28 degree weather in Orlando, Florida. How are the members up north (including north FL) doing?

25 here in St. Augustine. The water in the fountain thing in our yard froze. I guess even more of the tilapia in the pond in our community are gonna die. Turkey Vultures have been having a feast on the banks as dead fish float up. Saw a bald eagle take one the other day, that was cool.

Same (28˚F) here in Tampa Bay. Hopefully, it will stay sunny until the weekend, when it's expected to warm up. We're under a Hard Freeze warning until 7pm tomorrow.

18˚ here in sunny West Central Georgia right now. Wind chill 11˚.

My bed is next to a window, and I woke up in the middle of the night freezing. I thought that either I had come down with the flu or the furnace had died.

arn't we tougher than this???? I mean come on?!!! Today it will be above 30 for the first time in weeks here, everyone is acting like its a heatwave!!!

All you whiners in Fla. need to come up north it is 21 here and it is noon.

Just got my *****ing heat pump fixed yesterday afternoon

Grew up in Michigan, Worked the cable lines my last 5 years there... I know cold..

AND the ungodly amounts of snow they get....man they get hit hard!

High 30's low 40's in Maine right now. It's too hot really but the thaw was good for my roof. It's all clean and I didn't need to shovel it off. When we have snow I like it a little below 32 so the trails stay nice and solid. I've been sick so it doesn't really matter I guess. It's nice and warm in my house. My heat pump will stop working at -15, but I have an oil furnace to back it up and heat water and a big pellet stove in my basement with 2 tons of pellets left. Cold doesn't slow progress in Maine. My contractor is pushing forward with my daughters house. We got roof trusses delivered yesterday, framing lumber today and building starts Monday.

I'm surprised seeing such low temps in FL though. That arctic air we got must have all gone south.

I would think the flames from the nearby trees would keep you warm!
