Armed Parkland School resource officer ‘never went in’ to school during shooting.

Apparently, he was initially "suspended without pay" by Sheriff Israel, but elected to resign, thereafter...
:mob: |
Some are speculating he did not go in because he was about to retire. With all this msm nonsense over the years, it has truly killed my urge to watch tv. I only turn it on about an hour before bed and watch the learning channels.

I have heard that school officers are trained to wait for more officers before entering. That being said I don’t think I could live with myself hearing those shots and knowing kids were dying while I was not moving. Especially when we hear so much about mass shooting ended in seconds after contact with armed resistance. Getting to the POS as fast as possible so he is at least faced with a fight as opposed to letting him blend in and get a soda from Subway. If this POS really wanted to he could have evaded, possibly for days before he was caught.
So just to recap. He was banned from entering the school with a bag. He was kicked out of school for violence and threats of violence A trespass order issued from the school. 39 contacts with local LEOs 2 contacts with the FBI A credible tip called in last month that he was going to commit violence. (That tip should have stopped this incident from ever happening.) Because after all that I am guilty. I am just as bad as the murderous POS who pulled the trigger and the AR in my safe needs to be banned and the NRA needs to disband. That will keep all the kids in schools safe. |
I don’t care if I had to crawl with a broken leg. I’d have gone in.

A couple personal thoughts about this. I agree with all of you but if I am at a school it is usually to pick up or drop off my kids. I am not running anywhere until I know they are safe and secure. Then it’s game on. Also I hold nothing against any officers who may fire upon me, wound me or even kill me. I hope they may be able to see I am trying to engage the bad guy but if they see a guy in street clothes with a gun and and can’t differentiate between the good guy and the bad guy and they eliminate the guys with the guns then so be it. |

I agree, I would have run in as well, as an Infantry Soldier we are trained to go towards the gunfire. BUT we face one HUGE factor here. It's a 3rd degree felony in Fl to carry or posses a gun on school grounds. I am sure that doesn't stop most of you from doing your daily routines. And in the moment you aren't thinking of the end result of your actions. This is why we need to fight to get rid of the Gun Free School act.
