Impatiently awaiting my first 1911. LGS nearly got me to pull the trigger on a Colt LW Commander. I went in shopping Sig (really like the wife's .380 auto).

They had a consignment Cbob that I fondled a bit. Guess which made the lasting impression?

Went home for a bit of soul searching (powered by google). Found this site and a few more. Read plenty.

Summary: My ss vbob will be home very soon. I plan to spend some quality time courting her at the range. Report will follow.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. I'm soaking in lots of information- thanks especially for the experience and explanations.

It's less than a week till I get my bonus check for 2011, so I'll be getting my Valor Bobtail moving towards home, stepping into Lane's Que and getting an Advantage Arms or Marvel 22LR conversion headed my way - All good spends this year. I guess I'll spend the surprise tax money on the wife :smile:
