Hello from Michigan.

Thanks for accepting my request to be a new COTEP member. I've been favoring the 1911 pistols since my first new purchase of a Colt '70s series Combat Government back in 1982 for $399.00.

Welcome from another Michigander, well formerly. I got out of the mitten state in 06. I couldn't do the cold anymore.

do folks in FL have a north vs. south deal going on?
Here in SD us in the east consider the west river people weird and well hillbillys and they think we are yuppy yanks.

its pretty funny. West river your a rancher no matter what, east your a farmer no matter what.....just silly things like that. Is florida divided the same way?

I know the panhandle is much more conservative than the peninsula. In college there was a group of kids from Miami that I thought sounded like they were from Baltimore (or should I say "Bwaltimowa") After that, I used to tell people Miami was so far south, it was north.

Anything above Orlando is the true South. Most people who are elsewhere would say I live in North Havana or the sixth borough of New York.

The funny thing is that the University of South Florida is about four hours north of me and only an hour away from the University of Central Florida.

Then you have the people who live in Archer. You can’t believe the stuff that happens there. I heard there was some guy who caught the woods on fire.

I've heard people speak of that guy, he sits on his deck scratching under his boxers, wearing cowboy boots, a cowboy hat and drinkin corn liker and mumbling something about a electric fence he tangled with years ago.
