Hello from S. Florida
 

Just joined COTEP and looking forward to some interesting and enlightened conversations on firearms. I'm living in south Florida around Fort Lauderdale. I've been a long time shooter, reloader, and bullet cast. My main interest until recently has been single action pistols and WWI-Korean war era firearms but I have had several 1911's. I've renewed my love afair with the 1911 and condensed my collection down to 1911's and a Ruger Bisley's chambered in .45 Colt/.45 ACP. I just happen to be picking up a SA MDm I won in a drawing at a gun show and my first DanWesson (YAHOO!), a CCO, on Monday.

Looking forward to learning lots here.

Not close to Disney World but thankfully things are less Mickey Mouse in souther FL than they were in southern CA, where I used to live.

40 years ago, I was stantioned at MacDill AFB in Tampa. I enjoyed Florida back then. I visited Tampa about four years ago and couldn't recognize much of anything.

Like so many good places these days, just too many people. I will admit it is a lot less crowded than southern CA. I guess not too many people want to live in the everglades.
