Beautiful Clyde. How well/badly will an Ed Brown BLUE bobbed MSH look on the Black Duty finish?

Jim, I had Dave HH my Springer and I carry it almost every day in a Custom Holster made by Lane that is Lined, and I must say that his HH Treatment hasn't worn off at all...........
As for being BOBTAILED I like it alot but that is me, some people don't like it...............BUT for CCW IMHO it is a Must......... If you are having it BOBBED get the whole gun HH or Duty Treated, I like Blued Guns, except the Blued 1911's IMHO show scratches and wear pretty darn quick from holster wear,,,,,,,,,That is how I feel........ Here is my Springer in it's Custom Holster made by Lane, and his Holster is Top Shelf:

That really is beautiful, Clyde. I've bobbed my Mimber Pro Raptor, and of course the CCO is bobbed a bit and I really like it too. Agree with you regarding concealing for carry also. I should think it makes for a more comfortable shooting grip but does it affect the balance of the 5"? Is Dave Severns a member of this forum?

Thx, Clyde. Will let you know how I make out. Ryan, SARGE's Grips is making a matching pair for the CCO and Valor. Need to see where were at with that project and determine if have time to change to bobbed for the V. You've been a big help and I appreciate it very much.
Best, Jim |

I did catch up with Dave today and decided not to put that much $$$ into a project like this. Mike's Suggestion seems to have more merit when I analyze it more thoroughly. Really appreciate you talking me through this. Thank you. You're a good man. Jim |
I'll throw in on this thread. I would not bob a Valor. I think it would take away from the resale value of the firearm, if that is ever your intent. Far better would be selling the Valor and buying a V-Bob.... or even better, keeping the Valor.... and buying a new V-Bob for carry.
just my honest opinion... my 2 cents... and I'm "just sayin'" DaFadda And... man I really thought I had a picture of Clyde's hand there! |
Thanks, Mike. Sound advice and I appreciate it. I certainly get more than my $.02 worth on this forum. Wish I was knowledgeable enough to contribute more.
