My Meager Collection

Until very recently I said that I own firearms that fulfill a specific purpose and that I don't collect guns.

That seems to have changed since I bought my 1st 1911. A couple of months later I have three and a custom in the build process. Here is a snapshot I took this afternoon while packing up for the range.

http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...g/DSC03145.jpg

Clockwise from the top left: Citadel CS, HK P7M8, Dan Wesson Guardian Duce, and Sig Sauer Carry Nitron.

The family will be putting a few hundred rounds through them this afternoon.

Nice start to the collection! My OIC complained about my addiction until I showed her on paper how my collection has beat my 401k in asset growth (by percentage) three times in three years. Ya just got to speaks to SWMBO (She Who Must Be Obeyed) in terms she can understand!

Doc, Mrs. Boats, Bless Her Heart, said something like "now that Obama has been reelected and there might be another ban, don't you need to buy more?"

She's got this crazy idea that she somehow needs to keep me happy. I thought it was the other way around. Suppose it works out well if we both have the same attitude :)

Ahhhh yes, I do miss "all hands" and "pipedown" from the Boatswain pipe...

Tom, I was (believe it or not) a Draftsman. Primarily a Shore duty rating but I did have quite a bit of sea duty as well (LPH, CV) and a couple tenders. I miss it a lot but never quite got used to the sounds of chipping hammers, crawlers and the annoying masking taped "SECURED" signs on the nearest head. (grin).

Again, Nice Pistolas.

I've but a couple RIA's, a Gold Cup and a couple rifles.:)
