I did a bad thing... COTEP Brothers, forgive me!

About a week ago, a guy offered me 1200 cash for my CBOB... and I couldn't resist. I ended up selling it and picking up a new piece, and still sitting on $500 to possibly picking up another... or a new EOTech XPS2-0 for the BCM...

Got the XDm 3.8 9mm. She runs like a top, fun as heck to shoot, more accurate than I am.

I'll say three hail mary's, recite the four rules of gun safety and see if the Lord will forgive me.

Another poor soul lost to the dark side. Get the wooden stakes and silver bullets.

we will not hold it against you if that is your only tupperblaster. I have a Glock 21, but only one..that is my threshold of non 1911 type guns.

I felt the same way. Dare I say, it has the nicest trigger that I have ever pulled on a production gun. Shot it a bit more just a few minutes ago in the backyard range. The trigger has a slight bit of takeup but a super clean break, short reset. I like it. I was concerned about the short sight radius but I can't tell a difference between this and my CBOB. It is certainly lighter, even fully loaded (19+1). The cool thing is that I like it this much and I still have enough cash to pick up the EOTech for my rifle. I think that's what I'm going to do with the extra cash. The only problem is that I no longer own a 1911.. lol all have been sold or traded for other toys. At some point, I'll pick up a full size to fill the void in the safe.

You only got $1200 for your Cbob??? Buwahahahahaha You got anything else you want to sell for next to nothing?

As far as the buying a green XD, another buwahahahahaha.

Sorry man, just my .02.

zukinut 01-13-2013 05:31 PM

congrats. Love my wifes XD9SC. Great gun and have had zero failures with it and its got about 2000-2500 down it. Its been collecting dust for 4 months now though. I need to take it to the range.

I started having problems with my G19 at 2500 and had to put new springs in it.

Yep, paid 800 OTD for it three years ago. Profit of 400 for a gun that sat in the safe. I like the green, hence why I bought it. I'll add my own buwahahaha! For the "not legal in California" sticker that was on the side of the case. You know what 20 rounds without a reload feels like? Feels like freedom.

What do you have to say about that Ellison?

It ain't even worth owning a gun in a state you can't carry in, Hell they risk going to jail for shooting someone in Self Defense of their Ass(ests).

The green looks fine, now the SS slide?

Hey Ske1etor,

You know we're just messing with ya! :p As long as YOU are happy, that's all that matters.

Enjoy the "leprechaun" gun and be sure to give us a range report! :D

sdmc530 01-13-2013 11:26 PM

A range report with pics is a must....I hope you don't wear a tutu though.

Yeah, as one of the earliest active COTEP guys, I'm well aware. lol

As soon as it stops raining long enough to really go shoot it, I will do a range report and full opinion. We've had around 20-22 inches in the past seven days.

SDMC530, I'm gonna wear a tactical mumu just for you. nanner

Grouse 01-14-2013 07:17 AM

I have not been given the opportunity to sell on of my dw. I did part with 2 AR's and two other pistols in the last month though. That netted me one swiss pistol AT84s and two Dan Wessons, plus cash in my pocket. So I know how you feel. sometimes the deal just needs to be made.

I have not shot the XD more than 2-3 times. Worked fine for me. I am not a big striker fired pistol fan. I do like the FN line of FN-9,40,45 FNX series of pistols. That being said the HK lines seem to be just a little better polished all round.

Ske1etor, Go immediately to the nearest gunstore and surrender your Man-Card. You are hereby driven from the ranks of the shooting sport.

Oh BTW, Glad it holds 20 rounds, with a Chickgun Caliber you'll need them.
