Law Student Stands Up to COP
Watch this Video and you tell me what you think:

The guy that wrote the article is obviously a racist Blackman. The white waving the gun may have been "legally" able to do that but he's an azzclown trying to get a policeman to start something. He may know law but he's a dumb azz!

He may be a smart lawyer, but as a human being he is lacking good sense. |
What a jerk. He would have done better for the gun carrying community by being reasonable, I think.
This doesn't make the cops more comfortable with gun carrying folks, and the next guy will get it worse. And what the hell is he doing open carrying in the city, anyway. Some of you may disagree, but I see this as bad judgement. My guess is he was waving that pistol in everybody's face with a chip on his shoulder. Just my $.02 Tom |
we had another one of these mental jackasses posted up a year or so back. All it did was generate anger to his supposed attitude. Making someone look stupid does not teach them a lesson. It just hardens their heart in how they will deal with the next person like you.
|
Now take a look at this one, since it shows a different point of view.
|
that is an old one two. pushing a cops buttons when he had every reasont o ask. is just phvcking stupidity.
|
Well I agree sort of. . . but the 4th Amendment says:
"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized." Im still not so sure LE's have the right to conduct these types of stops. I could be wrong but it borders on violation of the 4th as I read it. And this isn't in reference to the 1st video posted of the street idiot, this is only in reference to the LEO car stops in the 2nd video. |
Slippery slope.
Not sure what to say about that one. I likely wouldn't do that, but I'm glad some people do. Tom |
Unless things have changed and I don't know what the Border Patrol guys limitations are, but a police officer can detain a person and ask whither he is going (thresehold inquiry). He also can ask for an ID. By that kid refusing to answer questions, it gives a police officer resonable suspicion that a crime has, is, or is about to be committed.
|
Herb that was true for me when i was in oregon. you could ask for id for verificatio. of who you are, lying about whk you are or your acitities gives resonable suspicion to look for probible cause of a crime or on about to be commited.
in the second case the vid was taken at a border crossing where those questions are entirely valid. the dissention in answering them is such an abnormal response that in itself you have reasonable suspiscion . remember it was reasonable suspiscion that lead the border officer to ask abiut why the guy was sweating in the mellenium bomber plot in blaine washington |

If I was one of those Officers I would have been real suspicious of him due to his actions. Just answer the questions and be on your way. I guess I am old school in that I was taught to respect those in authority. |
damn fat thumbs
|
I dunno but I think the kid in the first vid is right on his facts but wrong on his application. I can't figure out why anybody would open carry; just asking for trouble, in my opinion, from the cops or worse, bad guys wanting to take you out first. I didn't watch the second vid. .02c

The 2nd Video has good examples of resisting Tyranny from the "Police State" type stops. The 4th Amendment is clear on these things.
I know they easily could have "Complied" and went on their way, but we have to start standing up for our Rights! |
as far as i know the second one was at the us canada bordr crossing. that is how i first saw the vid decribed. are you teling me our lawenforcement has no obligation to discern who pepole are when they enter the us?
it is not a good examplenof anything other than jeuvinile behavior. |

I do however state, that We, Te Law Abiding Citizens have GOT TO start Exersising our Constitutional Rights. Like muscles, if you don't exersise them, you lose them! |
I've been stopped at border checks in Maine. Uusally some miles from the actual border. I believe in rights too, but I don't believe the borders should be so pourous as to allow illegal aliens to just pop over and start sucking off the teat of us Americans, or maybe to commit some act of terror. I have no problem with being asked if I'm a U.S. citizen and if asked, in spite of who we have in the White House, I would proudly admit that I am. They have road blocks to check for drunk drivers too, all for public safety. So there!:p
