This is my rifle.
There are many like it, but this one is mine.
I've been wanting one for almost 30 years. Finally! Built in 1945. It's in presentation condition. Bought from a Marine Vietnam vet. He was very picky and was looking to sell it to someone who would appreciate it. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/DSC00340.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/DSC00341.jpg |

Yes, please give us a range report! The wood is just georgous:chopper:
|
I took it to the range today. Took advantage during SWAT training. For now, I only zeroed it in at 50 yards. Eventually I will take it to a longer range where I can shoot 100, 200 and 300 yard distances. It shoots like a charm.

The left middle is where it was at before I brought in to the center. The missed heads shot were made by an Army guy. That's all I'm going to say about that. ;) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...a/DSC00348.jpg |
that stock is simply gorgeous...what finish is on it if you know?

great buy Tony! Love her, spoil her....but by all means fire her! That is what the ol'Marine would want :-). That's the rifle that freed a good portion of the civilized world. I'm glad it's in good hands and will be preserved for future Americans :-).

Beautiful rifle, one day I will have one as well.... Congrats.

This is my 2nd rifle.
Since my last visit I managed to add another Garand to my collection. Saw it in a store and couldn't walk away. Actually, I did, but came back for it an hour later. :)
