my daughters first day shooting

I took Chloe out to the rifle range for her first day shooting ever. She shot very well. enough to make 3" 5 shot groups at 25ft, for the first 50 rounds. Then she shot 4" clay pigeon at 25yds, and a bowling pin at 60yds!! i know insane.

anshutz achiever Jr 22lr with irons.

Kudos dad ! Good to see another person passing down a very old tradition for some.

It will forever be etched into her memory !

DaFadda 01-23-2012 08:52 PM

PICTURES!!!!! Do it!!!!! Do it NOW!!!! LOL.... nothing like taking kids to the range and seeing their faces when they do well.

GoldenVolt 01-23-2012 09:02 PM

It's great you and your daughter could take the time to shoot together.:)

RandallZ 01-24-2012 08:46 AM

Old thread...but I agree about taking daughters to the range. I took both my kids to the range early and often. As a result, they're both responsible adults hooked on shooting. Just the past Sunday, I loaned my Remington 700PSS to my son for the week. And for Christmas, my son-in-law and I went together to buy my daughter a Rem700P in .308 with scope and bipod.

When the SHTF, I'm gonna ask them to come stay with me so I'm guarded by two adept snipers.... :D

Thats great. Glad she had fun. I can't get my daughters interested.

Grouse 02-06-2013 08:58 PM
