I need an EDC idea : fixed blade
I was hoping to be able to carry my SOG Seal Pup Elite but did some reading and found out that our state law only allows up to a 3.5" blade length. I already have plenty of folders so I'm not looking for that as an option.
My question for you is what would be a good fixed blade knife for EDC that is rugged and has a 3.5" blade or under? Thanks, Kevin |
Gerber F.A.S.T.
sold at Walmart around 30 bucks. its assisted and i believe 3in blade. if im not mistaken Mary has one also. |

Move to Florida..with a concealed weapons license, if it does'nt explode, you can carry it..seriously..switchblades, billyclubs, ect:D I carry a Gerber double edged boot knife sometimes..might check into that..usually carry a Kershaw Tanto Blur spring assist. But then, I'm of the mindset..I already have a 1911 in .45 with two spare mags..probably just need the knife for cutting rope:)

Let me see, check out the Pendleton Hunter series from Cold Steel, the Pentagon Mini from SOG, Benchmade, Boker, Columbia River and Kershaw to name a few make fixed blade knives in the size that you are looking for.

Thanks for the replies. I still have my SOG Trident but it's not a fixed blade. It works well though.

You can always be foolish like me and start another addiction by looking at what some fine makers are offering here: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/fo...e-Fixed-Blades
But don't say I didn't warn you! |

I'm currently fond of Kershaw's myself, but I don't generally carry a "straight knife" anymore. Used to have a diver's knife as a boot knife but the double edge makes it illegal here.

Benchmade's Bone Collector series has some great knives.
