To trade or not to trade......?
This guy on another forum has a Springfield EMP in 40 cal up for trade. He claims it is unfired and in great condition. I have my Mimber that I can offer up for trade but, I have never had a .40. Does anyone know if this EMP is a good pistol in 40 cal? My Kimber has run flawlessly and is one of my favorite pistols so- its difficult to offer it up. Lol...
Check it out..... http://www.floridaconcealedcarry.com...ox-never-fired |
it looks nice, not a fan of the .40 though....but a Kimber...might consider it :p

3" 1911's can be problematic
.40's recoil snaps with muzzle flip recoil springs have to be changed frequently..and there are 2 of them IIRC |
Man, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one that 's not a fan of the .40. I sold all my .40's except for my P229.
So, to answer your question, I personally wouldn't wouldn't trade. |
A 10 is a great gun..yep yep yep...

If you like your Kimber...... and it's one of your favorites... why would you want to trade it? Save a few more bucks and buy a 40 if you want one... although.... I have to agree with others... I'm not a fan of the .40. I have a flawlessly operating Springer 45 micro compact that I toy with selling from time to time. 3" barrel.. but when I say flawless... I have never experienced a ftf fte with it. ever. Also... I have regretted selling every single gun I've ever sold. So... Think I"ll keep it for a bit.

I like the 40, Was the first caliber i carried as an officer. I still shoot it as well as any others.
I do not in general like 3" 1911's I prefer the basic of a commander size or a government. |
Thanks everyone, I decided not to persue this trade. I have only shot a .40 Glock and did not like it. Also, I just like my Kimber too much for this trade......maybe for a DW CCO.

if you like your Kimber you can keep it. Lol
