New Member from VA

Hello all and thanks for letting me join the group.
I fell in love with 1911's several years ago and the obsession has grown ever since. While I don't own a DW yet I do have several real nice 1911's in my stable.
I have a Springfield Mil Spec that is my favorite 1911, its my tinker gun if you will. I have fit a beavertail to it (no more hammer bite), fit a new ignition set from Harrison design and fit a new thumb safety from Harrison as well. Then I refinished the entire pistol in graphite black cerakote. It shoots as sweet as it looks!
I am also building a Caspian Government for my wife, its a labor of love and hopefully one day soon I will be finished with it.
My newest addition is the S&W Bobtail 1911PC commander, this one looks as amazing as it shoots.
Well I know I will enjoy my time here with other enthusiasts, it will certainly feed my addiction.
I am hoping to get a DW Valor one of these days, I always have my eyes open for one.

One thing I have noticed on this forum that I really like as compared to other gun forums that I belong to... Is that when someone posts their intro post every post has at least 2 pages of "Welcome" responses. Other forums may have a few "Welcome" responses but no where near as many as this forum.

Its nice to see the members here welcoming all new comers. Makes you feel like your wanted and home!

We are all one family here, I guess you can say inbred lol. We all take care of one another around here. We joke around a bit and we talk about the things that we enjoy. We all get along well and again glad to have you here.

Welcome from Chesapeake, VA - right around the corner from you!

Where do you shoot? Me, Lynnhaven, but that's a bit of a trip for you.

Maybe there'll be a time we Tidewater folks can meet up and do some shooting or swapping of sea stories.

I think there's four of us now. Maybe more.

My wife and I shoot at a outdoor range in Wakefield, Airfield Shooting Club. We have been shooting there now for close to two years, before that we did actually shoot at the Lynnhaven range but that was before Superior bought them out. After Superior bought them we stopped going, didn't like the personnel they hired to run the place.

Would be nice to all get together and shoot and BS for a while.
