California does it. Again!
|
There is a multitude of problems with the gun companies leaving. The gun haters will be like "Good, let them leave." The other is as long as Kalifornians keep voting these idiots in they're going to keep winning and disarming the general public.
There's a law in the books here in NJ that within 5 years of smart technology being available all guns sold in NJ have to be outfitted with smart technology. |
Hate to say it, but if Smith and Ruger did what Ronnie Barrett did and refused to sell to civilian LEO in California, the tune would change...

Believe it or not, many LEO's have already stated they would support S&W or Ruger if they were to not sell to LEO's. Why should their guns be good enough for LEO's but not good enough for civilians. California has had it mind from the inception of the "roster" to try and rid California of semi auto hand guns. Now with the advent of microstamping, it's all but sealed our fate. It's bad enough that gun companies for years have had to jump through extra hoops to sell their guns to us; loaded chambers, magazine disconnects, etc, but now they're going to have to re-tool just to make them legal for sale...WHATEVER. |
I'm a big supporter of any gun manufacturers that would do this even if it meant it impacts me. Of course the only way I can think of to support them is to buy from them. Catch 22.
|
Was at a LGS on Saturday buying a few soon to be off roster pistols and was told that probably every manufacturer will not be doing the microstamping. He said that Kimber will be the next to announce they plan to drop Cali from their list of states they sell too.
This is all second hand and only his opinion, it has no weight, but I wouldn't doubt it to be true. |
I fear that cancers that start in Kali, often spread to include the rest of us. I would be for a ban against any company that adapted the micro stamping. I still think that Californians can remedy this problem themselves given proper motivation. IMHO ( sorry Ell)

I'm glad to see that S&W grew a set of balls. They caved to the Mass. legislature back in 1998, and a lotta folks here in the northeast boycotted their products, maybe their memory isn't so short after all.
