Thought I'd post for some prayers

Paige is currently in Intensive Care at Bethesda-North Hospital. She had a mild Heart-Attack and went into Congestive Heart failure. She's stable now but not out of the woods yet. They seem to be having trouble getting the fluid out of her lungs.

Any prayers would help.
Dave

Prayers for all Dave. May God, Our Almighty Saviour help Paige and all concerned.

Thought I'd let you all know what's going on. Paige is doing a lot better today, they took her off of the forced Oxygen and she's breathing with a regular nose apperatus. Still on about five different drips and has a PICC installed. But her heartbeat is regular, pulse is down to about 95 and breathing down to about 25 per minute but, she's not doing the fishgasp anymore. She has an Angiogram(I think that's what it's called) tomorrow morning where they stick the tube in her leg and run a line up to her heart with a camera. Nurse said today that depending on the results of the test in the morning she may be moved out of Intensive care Friday and into a regular room. I finally got some sleep myself last night LOL, slept for 12 hours.

We both want to thank all of you for the prayers and support. It means a lot to her.

That is Good news. Also that is what the COTEP family and friends are all about.

I just found this thread. I'm praying for both of you.

skosh69 03-13-2014 10:56 PM

Great news Dave, keep us posted! My best to Paige.

DaFadda 03-14-2014 08:05 AM

you got it right Dave, it's an Angiogram.... up the inside of the leg to take pics of the heart's arteries. IF they find something that needs to be repaired.... a blockage that needs a stent, they'll probably do it right then and there.... then the "angiogram" becomes an "angioplasty".....

I've had five of them. have five stents and two heart attacks under my belt. Paige and you are in my prayers, but also be comforted.... the Docs know what they are doing.

Praying,
+Michael

BlackKnight 03-14-2014 08:27 AM

My wife had an angiogram as well, except in her case was for pictures of the brain.
Glad to hear she's doing better and will continue to pray for you both.

bvkdphillips 03-14-2014 02:58 PM

Thanks for the good new Dave. We are keeping you and Paige in our prayers!

Dave Waits 03-14-2014 06:46 PM

Well, not so good news today. Results of the angiogram came in this afternoon. She has three blocked arteries, two at about 90% and one at 100%. They put her on some kind of drug to help with the blockages for five days then they will evaluate her for Bypass surgery

On a lighter note, whoever sent those flowers hit a grandslam! They made her day and really lifted her spirits guys. She says you guys are wonderful.

jmlutz 03-14-2014 07:16 PM

God will make everything alright for y'all, it will be OK. Amazing things can happen, just keep the faith.

A minor set back Dave, but a great catch...get them taken care of while she's there now.

She got flowers from Cotep??? Whoever sent them is a nice person...
