mag storage

How do you all store you mags? I am trying to organize my safe a bit and I have not found a decent way to store my mags..any suggestons? What do you all do? I have about 30ish 1911 mags....tired of them just lying around....

Cigar box in my safe. You can also use a container from the dollar store. Ect...

I don't have 30, I only have 10, so I keep them in my range bag, and load all of them before a trip to the range.

Due to the abundance of mags in my home I use a 3 drawer tool chest. Has a locking lift up lid. I label the spaces with tape and use extra room in the box for ammo, clips, extra grips..

Here's an example:

My lady bought something at goodwill and it came in the cigar box. She gave me the box and I found a use for it. But, looks like I will need a second one for the overflow of mags! Not 1911 mags, tho.

You can also go to ross or marshalls and check out their "book" boxes, I was thinking of using those as well.

Dessicant question.... What do you use for your safe or said mag box? Just those little packets or a tub or an electric doodad?

I keep mine in a closet that is fairly dark so I attached a tap light to the lid to make life easier...

I use one of those ones you plug in and dry out, then unplug and put in the safe. About 30 bucks

As far as mags, I keep one in each pistol, two in my mag pouch, seven in my Wilson gun rug, and the resst in pockets on my door organizer on my safe. But all my mags are for 1911's

I use one of the 18 In rods that you plug into an outlet for my gunsafe.

You only need 110v so you are good. Lol. I have a small extension cord that I run up into my light socket. I'll take pictures and post them in a bit.

After forty years of electrical work I can honestly say that is among the top ten percent of innovative wiring jobs I have seen.
