Hello from NE Florida. I am a born and raised native of Florida and live way out in the boonies west and a little north of Jacksonville. I am a member of the 1911Forum, and haven't really been too active there, but also followed some fellow members from another forum here. I carry a 1911 daily and have had a CCW since 2002. I work as an EMT on the 911 ambulance in my home county of Baker. My hobbies are mostly music, I play guitar at church, also play mandolin and stand up bass with friends at Bluegrass events and just jamming at gatherings. Look forward to participating here and thanks to the powers that be for allowing me to join.:party:

Bluegrass is in the blood man. I love all kinds of music and play different kinds but bluegrass just has something.

I know you were probably joking, but this was a sore spot here not too long ago for some very good reason's...

This forum is VERY special, due to the fact of the folks that built it up, and have been members here for a long time. I only hope my presence here adds to the quality, and does not interfere with the original concept, and atmosphere.

Blending in with the current flow that allows the long time members to continue to feel comfortable here in their familiar and friendly environment.

I didn't like the choice of words ("take over") and I am sure it was only meant in jest, but please have respect for the folks that have been here before you, some since this forum's inception, and consider their feelings when posting such as this.

Sorry to get on a soapbox, but I joined this forum for the way it has always been run, and to enjoy the company of the fine folks that were here before me, hopefully adding some value along the way!

I have no damned idea what you are talking about. Apparently it is some type of sore spot but I don't know anything about it. I find it inexcusable that you would pile on an innocent comment by someone who is new to this forum. Is that the type of comportment that COTEP promotes? Threatening to "disinvite" someone is unacceptable behavior. If you feel that is appropriate then by all means have at it.

Thank you to those that reiterated the welcome to this forum. For the others, whatever the issue I suggest that you get over it.
